LA JOLLA, CA — Topcon Healthcare, Inc., a global leader in digital health and ocular data solutions, today announced two leadership appointments designed to strengthen execution across the Americas and further align global strategy and business development across Topcon Corporation’s eyecare business.

Lance Patton Appointed President, Topcon Healthcare, Inc.

Effective April 1, 2026, Lance Patton has been promoted to President of Topcon Healthcare, Inc. In this role, Mr. Patton will oversee all aspects of Topcon Healthcare’s Americas business unit. “Lance has built an industry-leading direct sales organization, delivered exceptional commercial results, and made significant contributions to our leadership team,” said Ali Tafreshi, CEO of Topcon Healthcare, Inc. “I am grateful for Lance’s impact over the past two years as Chief Commercial Officer and confident he will continue to drive momentum and performance as President.”

Ali Tafreshi to Assume Expanded Global Strategy & Business Development Role

In addition to his responsibilities as CEO of Topcon Healthcare, Inc., Ali Tafreshi will assume the newly created role of Chief of Strategy for Topcon Corporation’s global eyecare business.

“This role was created to strengthen alignment across R&D, product planning, and our global sales organizations,” said Hideyuki Takizawa, Executive/President, Eyecare Business Division. “Mr. Tafreshi brings a deep understanding of clinical needs and hardware capabilities, along with the strategic mindset required to help guide our global eyecare direction.
