I chose to offer digital vision care because in the state of North Carolina, like almost anywhere right now in the country, there’s a supply and demand issue with optometrists available. We started out with maybe seventy-five percent telehealth and about twenty-five percent on-site doctors or in-person care. As we kept hiring more doctors, you know, we are now about eighty percent in-person and about twenty to twenty-five percent telehealth. What I love about the solution is it keeps adapting for us and morphing to meet our business needs. Helping with Saturday coverage for our doctors, giving our doctors a better work-life balance situation.

Those types of solutions have really helped us adapt and meet our business needs as we continue to grow. The most exciting thing for me about integrating this digital vision care is that, to me, it’s the future. We’re only going towards a future where AI and machine learning capabilities. To be able to harness the capabilities of a digital vision care solution for rural practices. To be able to offer rural health care for patients. It’s the flexibility and adaptability the system can offer. It’s allowed us to become that hybrid practice that I mentioned. I love the system. We can actually have doctors that work three days a week in office and two days a week just doing telehealth that way.

So it offers them a better work-life balance.
