Pattern Scanning Laser Trabeculoplasty
The scanning technology and precision of PASCAL systems uses a minimally-damaging laser delivery modality for laser trabeculoplasty. Pattern scanning laser trabeculoplasty (PSLT) provides rapid, precise, and minimally traumatic (sub-visible) computer-guided treatment with exact placing of the patterns. The patterns readily align to the curve of the trabecular meshwork, allowing faster and easier applications compared to other laser modalities. Physicians can now use their PASCAL® Streamline™, Synthesis™ and TwinStar™ lasers for trabeculoplasty for open angle glaucoma; along with other conventional procedures.

Key Features
- Reduced treatment time compared to SLT
- Shorter duration of laser treatment for PSLT compared to SLT
- Precise alignment – New pattern developed specifically for open angle glaucoma results in precise alignment to the trabecular meshwork. Spacing and spot placement is accurate and consistent.
- Minimally traumatic / sub-visible procedure – Laser application
The scanning technology and precision of PASCAL systems uses a minimally-damaging laser delivery modality for laser trabeculoplasty. Pattern scanning laser trabeculoplasty (PSLT) provides rapid, precise, and minimally traumatic (sub-visible) computer-guided treatment with exact placing of the patterns. The patterns readily align to match the curve of the trabecular meshwork, allowing faster and easier applications compared to other laser modalities.
